How To Cleanup Your Working View After Fully Coding Responses

As codes are applied to responses on the Coder Screen, you may want to clean up your working view to remove those that have already been coded. Marking responses as completed will make it easier to see other responses that still need codes assigned. Responses can be assigned a complete status individually, or several at the same time.

Marking response(s) as completed

Criteria for marking responses as completed

  1. Only responses worked by the coder can be marked as completed by that coder.
  2. The response must have a least one code assigned.
  3. The response can not already be marked as completed.

To mark an individual response as completed, follow these steps:

  1. In the working view, select the response you want to remove by clicking the checkbox next to the response.

  2. Click the Mark As Completed icon in the Response Action drop down menu.

  3. The response panel view will update to show only the responses that are not completed.

To mark several responses as completed, follow these steps:

  1. In the working view, select the responses you want to remove by clicking the checkbox next to each response, or the Select All Responses button.

  2. To mark all the selected responses as Completed, click the Mark Responses as Completed button in the Response Panel header.

  3. This will only mark responses that meet the criteria for marking responses as completed. All other selected responses will not be affected.

  4. The response panel view will update to show only the responses that are not completed.

Reviewing the completed responses

Review the responses that have already been marked as completed by clicking the Response View "C" icon at the top of the Response panel.

Removing the completed status from responses

If responses have been marked as completed by mistake, you can reset the response to working status by following these steps:

  1. In the Complete view, select the response you want to reset by clicking the checkbox next to the response.
  2. Click the Set Response Back To Working Status icon in the Response Action drop down menu.

  3. The response panel view will update to show only the responses that are completed.
