Data Importer - Select Questions Step
After a data source has been selected, the next step is to select the questions that will be imported into the study in Colibri. Make sure to include all of the questions that will be used as question variables to reference or to code.
Select the questions/data that will be imported into the system. Once you are ready to continue, click on the Next button.
All/Imported Only Toggle
Toggle whether the list shows all questions or only questions that already have a coding type assigned in the Colibri study. On the first data import to a study, the imported list will be empty. Click All to view all questions to import.
Question Grid
Displays the list of questions/variables that are available to bring into the coding system.

Coding Types Explained
Name | Description | Detail |
---|---|---|
None | No Coding Type | Question will not be imported |
VAR | Variable | A question where the answers are predefined/limited |
SOE | Short Open End | Answer represents a shorter verbatim. Typically used for other specify, brand lists, etc. or questions where the list of items mentioned will be limited |
OE | Open End | Answer represents a verbatim that longer in nature and not constrained |
Note that SOE and OE are functionally the same but are provided to allow a distinction during coding, reporting, and billing.
