Codeframe Manager

Codeframes are one of the core elements of the coding system. Here you can manage questions associated with codeframes, add new codeframes, delete codeframes, copy codeframes, share codeframes, and merge codeframes.

Codeframe Manager

Questions Panel

To create a codeframe from a Question, click and drag the question in the Questions Panel to the New Codeframe box in the Codeframes Panel shown below.

New Codeframe Box

Codeframes Panel

Lists Questions that are assigned to each codeframe and actions that are available.

Name Description
Show Shred Questions Toggles the display of all questions shared with this codeframe
Merge Codeframe Launches the codeframe merge window
Remove Codeframe Removes a codeframe. This option is only available when the codeframe doesn't have any questions.
Remove Question Removes a question in a codeframe. This option is only available when a question does not have any codes applied. Removing the only question in a codeframe also removes the codeframe.

This window allows a user to search for and then copy/share an existing codeframe from another study into this one.
